User Research and Redesign

User research is necessary for a more thorough redesign because although some changes are intuitive, some user snags can only be understood via observation, empathy towards and feedback from users.

Here are photos of user speech as they use the app and sample redesigns that I did in ADOBE XD and in FIGMA. I also easily learned a few prototyping software platforms, including SKETCH and INVISION.  I find it simple to learn design programs and can quickly learn any tools your company uses.

Storyboarding

Storyboarding puts the users' experiences in context, which aids in understanding their needs.

Part of doing user research includes telling the typical story of typical users and how their lives are made better by using our product.

These stories are shared with the design team and potentially with partners and funders.

I can quickly translate stories into Powtoon or Prezi.

I'm continuously amazed at human creativity!

In our minds

and with language,

we turn needs into ideas and create tools

that empower people

to improve our lives.

Testimonials

Every person I've designed for has been satisfied with my work.   I've been freelancing until now and am striving to replace my day job as a project-based teacher with UX/UI Design.  I know that I'm relatively new at this, but can promise that I have a lot to offer.
